Several New Parts And Other Stuff
First; Wings. Wings would increase manuverability and stability as well as providing vertical lift (all at high velocity of course) in Atmosphere at the cost of extra weight and drag.
Second; Ion Engines. Ion Engines Would behave like normal engines except that they would draw power from Battery Compartments Super Capacitors and Nuclear Reactors. I have names in mind for them; Ion 12, Ion 42, Ion120 and Ion 390.
Third; Battery Compartments. Battery Compartments would be for Ion Engines what Fuel Tanks are for Engines, only Rechargable using Engines and/or Solar panels and/or Nuclear Reactors. However over time they become resistant to Recharging as well as holding less power, eventualy becoming useless for the rest of that mission. This effect would be imperceptible when discharging or not in use but significantly accelerated when Recharging.
Fourth; Super Capacitors. Super Capacitors would be like Battery Compartments except they would; hold less power, never resist Recharging and never refuse to hold as much charge as when the mission started.
Fifth; Solar Panels. Solar Panels would Recharge Super Capacitors and Battery Compartments at rates proportional to distance from the Sun and Atmospheric presure at present location. (closer to the Sun and/or less Atmospheric pesure = higher output unless sufficiently countered by further from the Sun/more Atmospheric presure) I recomend 3 sizes.
Sixth; Stronger Parachute. Siriusly a Parachute should be able to survive a thousand Kilometers an hour in the Smarsion Atmosphere.
Seventh; Centerline Attachment Surface. Centerline Attachment Surface would be in the center line of most objects such as the Fuel Tanks, Battery Compartments and Super Capacitors, and allow the player to put things like Wings, Solar Panels and Turning Thrusters on a Rocket without using more of the main Rocket building space.
Eighth; Limited Auto Pilot. Auto Orbit would automaticaly put the player's Rocket in an almost circular Orbit once Minimum/Maximum Orbit Distance has been attained. Auto Rondevous would automaticaly put the player's Rocket in the selected Smplanets Gravity Field. Auto Land would land the player's Rocket as best it can given preasent equipment at the time of activation (perhaps an average chance of 60% ?). Auto Balance would automaticaly balance the player's Rocket when landing.Auto Orbit activated with a button next to the Throttle controls, switches to Auto Rondevous button when a Smplanet is selected. Must not be in Smplanet's Gravity Field to use Auto Rondevous. Auto Land button appears above Auto Orbit button when in a Smplanet's Gravity Field. Auto Balance activated with a toggle button in lower left of screen.
Nineth; Smuto. Pluto was once considered a Planet, now it's widely called a Dwarf Planet. You could at least put it in as a Dwarf Smplanet (or Smdwarf planet)... Right??? Please!!!
Tenth; Nuclear Reactor. A Nuclear Reactor would function like the Battery Compartments and Super Capacitors but be SUPER heavy (despite being the size of the Sloshy T1500) never need Recharging and Recharge Battery Compartments and Super Capacitors.
Eleventh; Plazma Drive (misspelling on purpose). Plazma Drive would be a ridiculously heavy and powerful Engine consuming Fuel and/or Power at equally ridiculous rates. It would not be compatible with a Nuclear Reactor. (perhaps because of instability over 60% output?) I have a name in mind for it; Thunderstorm 6000. It's description; Experimental high output Engine. Details Top Secret.
Twelfth; Multiple Connections. The player should (for example) be able to attach 1 Fuselage to 2 Side detachers. If your not going to use this idea, many people (including myself) would apreiciate it if you made detacher conections both more ridged and indestructible.
Thirtheenth; Smolar System Base Building. I'm sure almost everyone wants to build Bases and Space Stations on and around all the Smplanets and Save them then compile 1 version of each Smplanet into a custom Smolar System and then Save that and fly a Rocket around it Refueling getting repairs and the like at all the various Space Stations they just built.
Fourteenth; Custom Coloring. It would be nice if each Rocket Part could be custom colored for a Saved Rocket. ( 3 color slots sound ok?)
Fifteenth; More Options; I think the Options Menu should have; The option to turn Smoke off so those super complex Rockets don't lag as much and the option to set Throttle Gradiant to 20% 10% or 5%. As of the time of my typing this it is always on what would be the 10% option.
Sixteenth; Turning Thrusters. Turning Thrusters would allow the player to turn a Rocket without turning the Engines on and using Fuel/Power. Could be used with Auto Pilot features. (I think these would be in Gizmos)
Seventeenth; Part Rotating. Many (myself included at times) wish the player could Rotate Rocket Parts 90 degrees and would be grateful if that ability were added.
Eighteenth; Docking Port. The Docking Port would be used to attach a Rocket to a Space Station.
Nineteenth; Astronauts. The Astronaut would be the player's character when not in a Rocket. Would allow the player to interact with Ground Bases and Space Stations beyond simply bumping into them and saying "Hey! I need Fuel, Repairs and more Parts."
Twenty; Fuel Lines. Fuel lines would be used to make realativly flat Rockets with several stages that have all Engines firing at once. The player would define in "Staging" what order connected Fuel Tanks are used.
Twentyone; Object Info. I think it would be useful to the player if when you press on an object's picture a mini window opens showing all information on that part's performance.
That's all I can think of right now. I hope it all makes it to the game SimpleRockets.
KNOW ALL ;I do not claim to be the first person to post or come up with any of these ideas.
Thank you. You have a lot of good ideas, but you need to split your ideas into their own separate suggestions on this UserVoice site. Also, some of your ideas that have already been suggested, so I suggest searching the site and voting on those ideas. I will decline this idea, but I encourage you to follow up by separating your ideas so they can be voted on individually (which also will really increase their chances of being implemented).
