  1. Orbit camera on pc with out grabing a part

    An annoying thing with sp on pc (and probably osx as well) is that the button to allow the mouse to orbit the camera is the same as the button used to sellect and move a part, so if i want to orbit/rotate the camera i have to find a spot on my screen that doesnt have a part near it (good luck if you are building inside of part of your plane (ie bomb bay, inside of the cab of a truck) it is really quite frustrating, especially knowing it is a supper simple fix (add rotate camera, pan…

  2. On screen Air brake button

    It would be great for the mobile version to have an on screen airbrake button to let you drop some speed without having to reduce your throttle. Similar to how the Rortos flight engine based games let you control throttle independent of the airbrakes.

    *I know airbrakes can be assigned to VTOL control but 90% of the time I want the VTOL controlling one of the rotators.

  4. Air traffic controler

    Ok so there should be a challenge where you start at the new beta airport and an "air traffic controler" tells you what to do. So you would use a passenger plane and follow the instructions like in a real life airport. Maybe even have other planes parked in the hangers or on the taxi ways tomadd some detail.

  5. VTOL balance adjustments

    I noticed a weird thing with VTOL's in vertical position, they naturally fly backwards more...Its also fiddly to place VTOL engines because of them not 'snapping' into position. I would love SOME changes to make VTOL's easier to balance. Maybe 'Ballast tanks' which can be set between manual, or automatic balancing, so you can actually make a balanced VTOL with a nice design!

  6. Better control surfaces

    Make control surfaces bindeable to more controls, like the VTOL-slider, throttle and so on. Also make it possible to bind two controls to one control surface so elevons, flaperons and such can be possible!

    Allow plane owners to edit the descriptions of airplanes after they have been uploaded (shared) on the main site.

    Some of the planes that I have uploaded have typos in their descriptions.

  10. Missile parts

    Small missile parts like light blocks that can only be attached to each other and detacher blocks and small jet engines or rockets that will activate when you detach the weapon. As well as at least one building to test them on. Not nessesaraly one with physics but just to indicate whether you hit it or not

  11. Add an option to the airplane mirroring which allows you to delete one half of the airplane.

    It would make working on planes with internal mechanisms (bomb bays, hidden engines, landing gear assemblies, etc) much easier.

    SimplePlanes is fantastic! And, I realize that part of its brilliance is, well, its simplicity. To me, though, the ability to manipulate drag on a plane's airfoils is as fundamental of a control surface as ailerons, elevators, and rudders. I have seen flaps mentioned in combination with other feature requests, but I just wanted to get a singular request out there. To me, landing is the most challenging and exciting part of flying and a true test of mastery over a given airframe. Flaps are an essential part of this stage of flight.   15. Vibrate the device when a piece come off/explosions/crash/landing

    For example, if I'm flying too fast and the wings breaks, I want my phone to go like brrrrrrrrrrrr and bbrrr brrrrrr brrrrr on when the cockpit ground! Every pieces who will be detached of the structure will make it vibrate once then won't affect the vibration afterwards. So if there is a contact, with a structure attached to the cockpit, it will vibrate. If the tail come off and crash on the ground and spin, it would only vibrate once, because it has been detached.   16. crankshaft

    Make a crankshaft like round building block that will not interact with other blocks unless specified by the builder. Building block found be cylindrical in that and could be turned by the motor in the last update. And I believe the motor should have unlimited rotational ability so you can use it as a larger propeller design or make helicopters that have spinning blades that can lift the build object.

    Transport missons would mean that you need to incorporate a unique object or VIP (using the Dummy) into your plane and successfully take off from one runway and bring it to another. In the different levels of the challenge depending on the difficulty you may have to transport a combination of a large, small, heavy, wide objects or crates. Some ideas are a very heavy, bulky and delicate atomic bomb, very heavy but small boxes of unknown origin, a large, light and flat object, to make aerodynamics difficult.   20. Analog throttle

    Currently, it appears to treat the throttle as 'above middle, increase throttle, below middle, decrease throttle', which is great for gamepads, but doesn't work very well for actual analog throttles, which don't return to middle. It'd be great if we had the ability to do real analog throttle, where the position of the physical analog throttle sets the throttle level of the aircraft.
