Career Mode and Campaign
Recently, by that i mean in the past 6 months or so, many new things have hit the simpleplanes community. Mods were added, many people left due to school or other things, it's been really crazy for a lot of people lately.
I have a few ideas that may actually not only help bring people back, but actually bring people in.
Many of us have had a love of flight before getting the game. Some just gamers who were interested, others historians and people who have studied flight for their almost their whole lives, some of us actually pilots. We also have a clear sense of creativity, people who create replicas of their favorite aircraft or something entirely new.
Whatever the case may be, what i'm trying to say is our creativity and love of flight goes to show that this game is what we really enjoy. However, in playing this game, most of us want to create a sense of reality. Some of the greatest aircraft flight simulators have created a sense of reality by doing what no other had done. IL2 1946 is an example i really want to show. It added a career mode, something you could actually be a pilot in operations that actually happened. You had a squadron, and the game had such immense detail, not in graphics but in the scale of everything, that it's still being played by people today, over 10 years later.
My idea is something along the lines of that. What we need is some sort of single player dynamic mode that can go anyway we want it to. You could create your own aircraft company and fulfill different contracts for certain types of aircraft. Performance statistics would be shown, how many aircraft are being produced, production run time, how many destroyed, etc. Maybe AI pilots could rate the aircraft. It's possible that in the same universe you could have a pilot that controls that aircraft. A campaign mode, if you will.
I know it is an EXTREMELY hard to create idea, especially with about half of the community playing from mobile devices, but it would be amazing if we could get some sort of a single player campaign. I love testing aircraft, but it really has no purpose other than you, and possibly a few people on the site, to fly it. A single player campaign, and possibly multiplayer, would be amazing.
Thank you for reading, please leave any other thoughts and ideas in the comments, and as always thank you for reading.

I did basically copy and paste the idea from the post on simpleplanes, so i will speak about some more of the details. As for airline companies, career mode, you may need to add more parts to the game, perhaps seats and hollowed out fuselages. You may also need to add a wider array of weaponry, possibly choosing the caliber of machine gun and what shape it may be. There could even be a market in which you place orders. There could also be competing companies that could run you out of business or merge with your company. The competitors planes would be random, and it would be very hard to create all random aircraft. If it is too hard, you could always ask users from the community for permission to use their aircraft.
In the campaign mode, it would be in the same universe as your company mode. You would fly the planes given to you by different companies, you would be on a certain side. Your kills would be marked and it would possibly make the company more popular if you become a famous ace.
