Ability to rotate your frame of reference
So I worked out how to land on the moon with just one problem: "down" was actually to the left of my screen, not the bottom. see here: http://i.imgur.com/29J8XzS.png
It's still possible to land like this, but it is a bit of a pain.
Ability to rotate your reference point would be awesome, or maybe automatically change it to line up with the horizon below a certain altitude (50km?)
This is part of the challenge of the game and forces you to consider where you want to land at.

I like the feel how it is where you choose to land on the planet will show your skill.

Or maybe you just add Landscape Orientation so it rotates 360 degrees. The only thing that would change positions would be the controls.

This is true, however to combat this I always aim my landing point to be at the top of the body I'm landing on. Kinda gives a sense of mission and purpose that I have a specific landing site to aim for, kinda like real world. Maybe it's just me.
