Incorporate the Solar Panels more into the game
Have the solar panels do more then just look cool, like have them charge some sort of electric engine or something, because right now they are useless

The math behind proper electric thruster trajectories is not obvious (there is no simple equation to describe the trajectorie of a craft with a tiny but continuous propulsion, as electric thrusters do)
So it would be difficult to include them in SR. But instead, solar panels could -very- slowly recharge tanks depening on distance to the sun. Slow enough so it would require many panels and a long time, making space stations and fuel transfer even more fun.

I would like electric thrusters very much, as it would enable simpler "large scale" interplanetary missions.
