Autonomous Rocket Guidance System [PART]
Andrew Garrison, you recently posted a demonstration of your new landing gear with a replica of the SpaceX liquid fuel boosters. I suggest adding an AI part that would take countrol of the part it is attached to (and all parts attached to that one) when an activation group is activated or that part is detatched from the cockpit.
You could tweak it, so that if, say, the altitude of said piece was 1600 metres, it would fire any attatched rockets at 10%, and at 1000 metres, 20%, and 50% at 100 metres. Other options could be implemented, such as…

Reentry Effects
I think it’d be cool for your ships to be able to burn up upon reentry if you’re going too fast, or you didn’t add a heat shield or something to that effect.

Abandoned rockets
Abandoned rockets or even entire mother ships drifting through space(or on the ground) as an easter egg would be awesome, i'd imagine them either being almost impossible to find, or you have to do something somewhat specific to find them, like use a certain object around a certain planet or moon.

Add individual rover leg suspension
Add some suspension legs for rovers so you can climb over rough terrain with ease and also each one can operate individually or together as a choice to provide the best suspension for the terrain

Rover Tread Marks
Upon a rover landing on an a planet such as the Smoon in SR1, When maneuvering a vehicle on the surface the rover would leave behind tread-marks. This could also be seen under a lander in a planet from the landing legs. Considering the current progress with SR2 this would most likely be a late development addition.

A laser part for rovers/ship defense.
A small part with color, intensity and cooldown settings. It could be used to deform the terrain on a planet or destroy other spacecraft.

Astronauts and cosmonauts
You can add astronauts and cosmonauts to the game. This will make the game play so much more fun. You can make them pilots scientist you can make skills for them. Add special astronauts like Neal Armstrong or Alexey Leonov which we can purchase for money.

multiple modules
In simplerockets 1, you could only have one module/capsule. I wanted to add a lunar module to my rockets but I couldnt with the module limit. With this idea space stations would be cooler and not with only 1 pressurized room.

Make the game easily moddable
The best part about simplerockets was all of the mods, and they weren't too hard for people to make. Now that the game is going 3D It is probably going to be harder to make more parts and planets, so could you make an easy modding system for SR2 even if it comes out after the first release.

Automated Rendezvous in SimpleRockets 2
Both SimpleRockets and Kerbal Space Program are really fun games, but there's one thing that bugs me- it's too hard to rendezvous with something else in orbit, like a space station or something. I feel like a feature to have the spacecraft fly itself into a rendezvous with the target would be amazing. I know it would probably be hard to code, but it would make the game much more fun and accessible to those who find rendezvousing a pain in the butt.
