Modding support for mobile devices?
Android devices have an build in file browser and iOS can have that too with jailbreaking, so installing mods shouldn't be impossible.

Allow user to submit challenges, like:
Landing on other planets
Landing rovers
Making a return trip from the moon
Smupiter altitude challenge
Add comets
Change starting position of orbiting bodies
Add more moons
Etc..Please for the sake of all man and woman kind fix the orientation.. Landing a rover on Saturn upsidedown is unnecessary!!

Communications
Communications, since you said there would be planet rotation, the space center would move, right? But how about communications such as if your on the other side of the planet without any communication satellites your spacecraft can't function, UNLESS its manned or can supply its own power.

Detached pieces persist forever.
With the ability to play on the same save indefinitely coming up, I'd like to keep old rocket parts. Maybe space junk would even become an issue.

Make it possible to individually control engines
Make it as a % of the main thrust, or make different sliders.

Add "Unlock" Feature
When you land somewhere that is not a starting location e.g. Ganymede jr or Smalleys Comet, you "unlock" the location and can start there

Add more solar sistems
Make the space exploration not only limited to our solar sistem, put more stars farther away with planets to make the game more diverse. You will need to put more warp speed so it does not take all the time needed to go to another star! It also could also be that when you arrive to another exoplanet you colonize it and can launch from it.

Have the physics engine include information for after you enter a planet's sphere of influence
Currently the line stops at the sphere of influence when encountering a planet. If the line continued to show what would happen after that point, the physics engine could be used to plan for gravity slings or less fuel needed to enter an orbit.

add a mission builder.
Where you can build simple missions
1) Pick what planet to launch from
2) Pick what planet the player must get to
3) Pick what to do at that planet (orbit or land)

Detached pieces/rockets can be deleted
All of those random rockets floating around get very annoying and distracting. It would be nice if there was a way to select a rocket and delete it.

Set input keys on keyboard
I think that will be good, if there will be individual keys for expanding and folding parachutes because detaching them means that they couldn't be use again so players will need to increase weight of rocket by adding other parachutes, landing legs etc.

when you come encounter it you can click "automatically dock"

Double-tapping on another vessel to switch to it
During docking, this would be very useful. If you double tap on another vessel within range, you should be able to switch to it.

Add cranes
They can grab ships and move them around the space station. Making moving things around easier.
