An error occurred while saving the comment MJRossy commentedIf you want more "alien stuff" vote for my propulsion suggestion: https://jundroo.uservoice.com/forums/221664-jundroo-games/suggestions/42382924-more-propulsion-options
It proposes various systems that you are talking about. Some of the examples are:
-antimatter propulsion
-antigravity propulsion
-laser propulsion
-microwave propulsion
-direct impulse propulsion (like particle accelerators)
-laser thermal rocket propulsion
-microwave thermal rocket propulsion
-plasma propulsionFor example if you're a fan of star trek, the main ships are propelled by anti-matter. Star wars hyperdrives like u say with "hyperspace gizmos" allow ships to reach the speed of light. Using a combination of anti-gravity and anti-matter propulsion you could make this in SimplePlanes.

An error occurred while saving the comment MJRossy commentedI believe you basically mean a form of fly-by-wire that translates to an auto-pilot

An error occurred while saving the comment MJRossy commentedI propose a new category is added under fuselages that let you choose the material. There should also be data displayed on the material and its affects. For example, density, mass, etc. It should give enough data to indicate for example if a material would be able to hold up as a heat shield, while also demonstrating the real world affects of added materials of greater mass to prevent heat damage and so on. I believe that adding this would change the ENTIRE game, and every craft created so far. This would bring a whole new real world feeling to the game and allow players to accurately create designs which will work in the real world under real life constraints and the effects of different materials. For example, the SR-72 wouldn't be able to fly with just any material for many reasons, so upon its creation its inventors were forced to work within the material constraints to ensure it can fly and resist all of natures forces.

An error occurred while saving the comment MJRossy commentedA more in-depth variation of the info button in the design menu with virtual wind tunnels and various testing softwares which verify the aircrafts ability to fly according to the real world laws of physics.

An error occurred while saving the comment MJRossy commentedA jet engine designing portion of the game in which you can create your own jet engine (whether it be a turbojet, turbofan, etc) using a variety of different types of components of jet engines like compressors and turbines, nozzles, bypass ducts, shafts, diffuser sections, different combustion chambers and combustor's (heat, microwave, electric, laser, nuclear, etc), exhausts, and afterburners.
