Pre-built crafts for challenging flight-focused missions
For those who can't build or just want to fly without worrying about building sometimes, specific missions would add some great objectives that a lot of open-ended sandbox games lack. I'm thinking rescue missions, docking missions, fuel efficiency challenges, this kind of thing. I look forward to building crafts, don't get me wrong, but I think having missions outside of a standard 'career' mode would set it apart from the likes of KSP.

Space race (Cold War) gamemode
Introduction:
So this idea is from the space race, you and the AI compete (lets say KSP but you have the lowest research stuff, money etc) and you have to race against the AI to get to the moon first.
This will last can last a long time, as you have to plan how much money you will spend for research etc. or doing contracts (the one in KSP, if it gets implemented here).
Their will be a difficulty option aswell.6 votes -

"Featured" tag
When a plane is featured, it will receive a special tag called "Featured". this tag can not be assigned or removed by normal users, and it does not count to the tag limit.
This will make looking for good looking planes easier because featured planes are already carefuly "nit picked" :)17 votes -
Communications
Communications, since you said there would be planet rotation, the space center would move, right? But how about communications such as if your on the other side of the planet without any communication satellites your spacecraft can't function, UNLESS its manned or can supply its own power.

Stronger Joints
I would like to ask for stronger joints as a problem with SR1 occurred when moving at high speeds could break some part at the joint ruining a design the same can be said wen using multiple small parts making a lot easier to break

I think a good idea would be that you can turn on only a specific engine without turning on the other engines.

Create a new view option = Anchored / Subject View
It would work like this: The Anchored View is chosen in set up... for example, a docking port or a launching pad. The camera would always be pointed at the anchored point. The Subject View is chosen as well, for example, a rocket (or possibly and orbiting body) the camera aligns subject view over anchored view. The camera would move with the subject while constantly keeping the anchored view in the background. So, there would always be 3 points along a straight line:
1 - the anchored view
2 - the subject view

Thermal management in the form of radiators?
Since reactors and other systems produce in real life, their heat needs to be rejected somehow, often in the form of radiators. would it be possible to implement thermal management in the form of resizeable panels?
