Better weather
Maybe add seasons like spring, winter, summer or fall and have the islands change accordingly. add rain, snow, sleet, hail, ice, ice on runways, etc. maybe lightning during the storms and hurricanes with strong winds. The hail would probably vary in size and the bigger ones could damage your aircraft. I know this is a lot but it would be nice to see in game.

create interest spots on planets
Add spots on planets that have interesting things there and add scanners and telescopes to look at them. This would give more of a challenge of landing on the spots so they can check them out. It would also give more reasons to go to other planets/moons.

1.8 Update (DEVS READ THIS)
When is the 1.8 update coming out? I know you've been working on SR2 but you could still work on 1.8 from time to time. I think you should take ideas from the community this time and combine all the best and most popular ideas in one update.

Make advanced components customizable (Pods, engines, solar panels etc)
Essentialy im asking for pretty much everything to be made customizable in some way. This would hugely expand the possiblities of what you could make, and would make the game so much more interesting. My main criticism of KSP was that you are building from pre-made parts, rather than making your own parts, which hugely limits what you can do. Here are a few examples of what could be made customizable:
Engines
-Already suggested, so ill be brief. Adjustable nozzle geometry, aerospike customization, adjustable combustion chamber size and fuel air mix.Solar panels

Underwater looping land.
The game already has looping water. You can fly anywhere and water is still at 0ft. I wish there was something like that with underwater land.
But because of visibility, one kilometer should be fine. If we can have an underwater camera, we can have underwater land.4 votes -

Braking without stopping throttle
When using a pc, pressing b to brake shouldn't turn the throttle to zero, it should just brake the wheels. When flying a plane in real life sometimes it is necessary to throttle the engine up and put on the brakes for short field takeoffs, and this would also be able to help people test brakes more easily
