3. Fires and more landscape

   When you shoot something and it explodes can you make it to cause a “forest fire”

   More trees

   And also can you make the volcano on krakabloa erupt

   Being able to pick the water up in like a bucket or something would be fun or adding parts that you can handle water in it like hoses , buckets. Etc.?

4. SP Part Health System fix suggestions

   Explosion-related

   Explosion Force should be divertable by certain shapes, which can throw the damage somewhere else without critically damaging the vehicle.
   A Vehicle with most, if not all parts with their partCollisionResponse to "None" still has some disconnecting parts even though the link between the parts did not get destroyed. Make sure that only "Default" and "DisconnectOnly" will be affected by the explosion in these ways:
   a) For Default, the explosion destroys the part and sends the parts it's connected to flying, if all parts are set to Default, then it will cause the craft to explode and fall apart.
   b) For DisconnectOnly, the parts it's connected to will be disconnected from the Vehicle.
   c) For None, it depends on the health of the part. If it gets its health depleted, it will explode but do no damage to any blocks in its area(It depends on the health of the nearby parts if it takes x explosions from certain blocks.)
   Weapons that can explode should have explosionScale, explosionRadius, and explosionDamage XML attributes.
   Explosion sounds that depend on the explosion size need tweaking. That includes the missiles, bombs, the torpedo, and the cannon.
   Parts-related
   1. If a part is destroyed, the damage it deals to nearby parts should depend on the health of nearby parts and the partCollisionResponse attribute.
   2. Parts with a health of 100-below should blow up and disappear.

   Explosion Physics should be enabled when Physics is set to Medium or High.

5. More Fuselage Block Shaping/Forming Options

   Suggestion 1: Fuselage "Twist" Property:

   In the fuselage editing box there would be a new slider below the fuselage block size and corner selectors, that when moved would twist one end of the fuselage. You can twist left/right sides or front/back. Range from -360 to 360 degrees. Maybe a little button above the slider as well to choose which side to twist. This would make complex shapes an absolute breeze in the game, such as wings and stuff.

   Suggestion #2, Left/Right Scaling:

   Allows you to change the size of the left and right sides along with the front and back. Again, more possibilities with complex shapes.

8. It would be interesting if you guys overhaul the car parts

   Like adjustable Torque etc.
   But i myself like complexity so i would like to see
   1. Adjustable piston
   2. Adjustable Engine Bore and stroke
   3. Atleast a variation of crankshaft
   4. Piping? (Idk this is maybe too much)

9. Make the AI fight each other!

   Hey! I was just on the USS Beast, and an enemy plane was firing at me, and hit the carrier instead. Yet the destroyers did nothing, so i was thinking, why not make all the ai fight eachother? This could be expanded on alot, like maybe make teams, so if you soot one down, more would attack you. Maybe make the AI have dogfights randomly with eachother. I dont know how hard this would be to program, but you already have some of it done; with the dogfight mode/level thing. I really think this could be really cool!

   Edit: there would probably be and option to turn this on and off too, so your not always being bombarded with other planes trying to kill you XD

10. Wings need an update

    Jundroo needs to update the wings, seriously the wings are not really wings, just flat pieces of cardboard if that, for all the years simpleplanes planes has been out, the wings have been the same. I think we can all agree that it’s really annoying when you have to hide the original wings inside custom wings made out of fuselage blocks.
    Updating the wings needs to happen eventually, they are very outdated and need a change. My suggestions are just change the wings to make them more like real life wings(round on top flat on bottom). Or you can add an option to the fuselage block says “generate lift” or something like that, so that players can make completely custom made wings from fuselage blocks that can generate lift. Bottom line, wings are outdated, unrealistic and need to change.

11. Overhaul the drag model

    SimplePlanes is a simulation game, which is great because you can build whatever you want and then expect it to fly exactly like it would in real life!

    Not exactly...

    One massive thing is stopping any aircraft's flight dynamics dead in its tracks: drag.

    SimplePlanes drag model in its current state is so bad in fact, that I recently had to cut my aircraft's drag by almost 98% and that only got it close to flying properly. Engines need to be more powerful to make adequate thrust (which really messes with takeoff performance) and when you send your power to idle at 10,000 feet it feels like you just ran into a wall with how fast your plane decelerates, and you need to enter a vertical nosedive to gain speed again.

    THIS IS NOT REALISTIC!!!

    This is why the drag model needs a total overhaul. Airplanes simply need to make less drag than they currently do in SimplePlanes. As in, 98% less drag. This will allow for some awesome stuff like better gliders and more efficient engines, as well as much better thrust physics.

    Also, instead of focusing on individual parts, I suggest that the drag model looks at the plane as a whole and figures out how much air resistance the entire shape will create. Do away with the drag points system and instead use a Drag Coefficient to determine how much drag your airplane will create.

    Implementing both of these things would help the flying part of the game a lot, and would help builders like me improve realism as much as possible on our builds. Thank you for your consideration.

13. Ultimate 1.11 suggestion list WIP

    I was told to copy and paste this to the user voice because it would get more attention, so here it is! The original post can be found labeled "Ultimate 1.11 suggestion list WIP" in the SimplePlanes forums!

    1. There needs to be a way to disable time change in-level. I’m tired of spawning in and having it be 8:00 in the morning because the lighting is trash. Spawn-in times can be as early as 6:00 but as late as 14:00. If the aforementioned option is enabled, time during the level will be locked at 12:00. Weather will still change if dynamic weather is enabled.

    2. If the volcano over at Krakabloa actually erupted, that would be SOOOOO COOL. It doesn’t have to be detailed; maybe they could use the Boom-50 explosion particles (those rock things that fly out after the explosion) coupled with the scaled up smoke texture for landing gear or wheel skidding.

    3. Trees. For the love of god, trees. Literally the only trees in the game are located near Yeager airport. There needs to be trees everywhere on the map, scattered about.

    4. Airports need to be renamed by this logic: Wright (formerly Tarpley) airport was the first airport added into the game. It should be renamed back to Tarpley. Yeager airport doesn’t really need to be changed. (Fun fact, the name of the airport comes from Chuck Yeager, the first man to fly a supersonic aircraft). Bandit airport isn’t based off of anything to my knowledge, so you could remand that to Wright airport. It would be really fitting actually, because the first flight took place on a sandy beach.

    TL;DR: Wright -> back to Tarpley, Yeager doesn’t change, Bandit -> Wright.

    1. Airports need to have a basic function. Maybe if you landed at an airport (properly; without crashing), a little menu would pop up and you’d have the option to reload weapons and refuel your aircraft. You’re probably thinking, “Hey, by this logic, that means guns would have to have limited ammo.” NO! NONONONONONONONONONO NO. Guns keep unlimited ammo because I’m NOT worrying about how many ammo boxes I put on my aircraft.

    2. Airport hangars need to have default locations. If these locations are added, you could spawn facing backwards (tail towards the entrance) and press a little button for a small vehicle to push you onto the runway. Alternatively you could spawn facing forwards (nose towards the entrance) and get to the runway manually.

    3. The USS Tiny desperately needs an overhaul. Maybe you could make it look like the <Chakri Nuebet link> (the worlds smallest aircraft carrier) by giving it a ski jump and some decent textures. This could be applied to the USS Tiny Two as well.

    4. The autopilot needs to hold your heading AND ALTITUDE. If you enable autopilot all it does is keep your heading. It doesn’t control pitch and you can’t control pitch while it’s active. I have no clue if there’s a way to change the mode (because it says “wing leveling mode” by default), but there may be. If there is, I haven’t discovered how because I’m on mobile.

    5. There needs to be a second type of rocket pod that’s more resemblant of <actual rocket pods link>, having much more rockets placed into them, and being shaped like a cone instead of just a cylinder with holes in them.

    6. Sky Park City needs a serious revamp. On real life air races, the pylons are much further apart. Due to the already existing pylons being so close together, it’s INCREDIBLY difficult to complete the related challenge. The island could be much larger (and have more stunts) to accommodate this.

    7. The North Runway needs at least some detail. It can’t be just a single runway sitting on an island. Maybe add some buildings and tents similar to Bandit.

    8. Weather needs a revamp. Maybe during the “Stormy” weather preset, actual rain could fall and lighting could strike. Thunder would be a nice touch as well.

    9. The USS Beast’s internal hangar could use some details. Maybe add lights or a crane or something.

    10. Similar to PC/Mac versions, there could be some tiny islands randomly scattered in the oceans on mobile.

    14.5. Speaking of islands, I’ve finally come to terms with the impossibility of adding Maywar to mobile. I finally realized just how big the file size (and physical size of the island) is, and that a phone/tablet couldn’t process that.

    1. There needs to be a way to put saved aircrafts into folders or headings in editor. For example, I could create a folder labeled “Fighters” and put aircrafts like the F-18 in it.

    2. There should be a way to change what the actual editor space looks like. There is a way to do this with mods, but because Apple is gay you can’t get them on iOS. Maybe add a few preset textures like the inside of a hangar or something. This would be like in Kerbal Space Program.

    3. Helicopter tail rotors need to automatically adjust their settings to match the torque produced by the main rotor. For example if I put a large main rotor on then added a tail rotor, the tail rotor would automatically change its settings. This would be REALLY useful in building helicopters.

    17.5 Speaking of helicopters, the Gator (the default helicopter) constantly wants to yaw and roll to the left, and it’s nearly uncontrollable in general.

    1. It would be SOOOOO COOL if there was a default railgun part. Railguns have always been my favorite weapon, and having them in game would be amazing.

    2. Just like in SimpleRockets 2, the camera needs to be able to go underwater. Much more submarines are built in SimplePlanes than in SimpleRockets 2, so it would fit the game much better.

    3. A default smoke trail part would be amazing. Being able to have a colored trail behind my aircraft would look absolutely amazing.

14. Cannon sound

    The current cannon sound is terrible. It sounds like a nerf gun. It would be fantastic to have an option to choose between multiple sounds for your cannon, such as "tank cannon, mortar, autocannon,....."

    Hi developers of SimplePlanes,
    I have some ideas for a update:

    You should add in app purchases for simple planes that have airliner themed parts ( 0.99 - $1.99) such as:

    • airliner fuselage cockpit (like the fuselage but you could add a cockpit)
    • airliner fuselage
    • airliner modular wings( series of thicker wings that could snap together and make a wing )
    • cargo door in a sloped fuselage (like a ramp for cargo)
    • modular wheels to build any type of wheel
    • all new cargo tab with different types of cargo like car cargo or boxes with parachutes or a new tab with ship parts ( hull body, bow, stern, superstructure )

    You should also add in app purchases with new islands ($1.99-$2.99)
    - harbor island
    - one with a big runway
    - maybe a larger fleet
    - also you could add a Forest island that could catch on fire, if you do you could also add a water/fire retardant fuselage that the players could add to your plane and put out the fires
    - also a mini map

19. Exhaust, sonic booms, Fly by wire

    Pls add this. We currently use rockets but rockets sometimes didn't work and they are to complex. Adding exhaust can improve the gameplay alot, sonic booms and fly by wire too
